As a Nurse Consultant/Behaviour Therapist with 30+ yrs experience with the NHS specialising in learning disabilities, I've been privileged to work with and support many families. Working across children and adults services gave me great insight to support families who challenge services.
I've been working with children with PDA since 2001, exploring and finely tuning my skills to support families and assist in empowering the children to embrace who they are and develop new skills which will take them forward into adulthood.
...and I recognise this in the parents I work with. I'm always striving to find new ways to support families and help them become the best parents they can be. I combine holistic therapies with scientific behavioural approaches to make a family centred approach. Understanding ourselves can be a useful tool to understanding and supporting ourselves - I work not only with the child but the family to bring around a better family life.

Could have listened to Jude all day. Sorry I cried but it was nice to hear I wasn’t mad and you explained my daughter so well. It was so great to hear I’m not alone and loved this morning. -

We brought Jude in for a week to work intensively on assessing a very complex young man. We found out so much about how to understand him; it was a new way of thinking, but a way that worked. -
